Google Presents the Advanced AI-Powered Pixel 9 Series

Google Presents: At the most recent Made by Google hardware event, Google formally revealed the Pixel 9 series, making it one of the company’s biggest product launches to date. In addition to major improvements to current Google gear, the event unveiled a number of new AI-powered capabilities and four new Pixel 9 smartphones.

The Google Pixel 9 portfolio now includes a new Pro version.

With the Pixel 9 series, Google offers a foldable phone in addition to three slab phones. The Pixel 9 series comprises three models: the smaller, 6.3-inch Pixel 9 Pro, the bigger 6.8-inch Pixel 9 Pro XL, and the new, smaller 6.3-inch Pixel 9 Pro. The newest G4 Tensor chip, longer battery life, an upgraded oval camera casing, and a new satellite SOS feature are all included in these devices.

The Pixel 9 Pro and Pro XL are priced at $999 and $1,099, respectively, while the Pixel 9 starts at $799, an increase of $100 from the previous generation. The smaller Pixel 9 Pro will be available starting in September, while shipments of the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL will begin on August 22.

Brighter and sleeker Pixel 9 Pro Fold

Google has unveiled the Pixel 9 Pro Fold in addition to the regular Pixel 9 devices. The folding gadget has bigger screens—6.3 inches exterior and 8 inches internally—and is taller and slimmer than its predecessor.

Integration of AI takes center stage

One of the main features of Google’s new Pixel devices is AI capabilities. Introduced across the lineup, the Gemini AI assistant provides advanced features including photo analysis and in-app information retrieval. In addition, Pixel Studio and Pixel Screenshots, two brand-new AI-powered applications, have been released.

While Pixel Studio offers a text-to-image production tool, Pixel Screenshots enables users to search for information within recorded screenshots. Improved AI tools are another advantage of the improved Pixel cameras. One such tool is the “Add Me” function, which allows users to easily add people to group shots by combining different scenarios into one.

With the latest update, Google’s Magic Editor in Google Photos also supports generative AI-powered edits, such as altering whole portions of a picture.

Bigger, smarter, and more responsive is the Pixel Watch 3.

Notable improvements to Google’s Pixel Watch 3, including a 45mm model in addition to the 41mm one, have been unveiled. The watch now has a brighter display that can reach 2,000 nits, an ultra-wideband processor, and several new workout capabilities.

The device’s capacity to determine whether the wearer’s pulse has stopped is a noteworthy innovation. If the user doesn’t answer, it will instantly alert emergency personnel. The 45mm Pixel Watch 3 starts at $399.99, while the 41mm variant costs $349.99. Both models will be available starting on September 10.

Pixel Buds Pro 2: Better sound and design

Google also unveiled the Tensor A1 chip, which improves active noise cancellation (ANC), and the Pixel Buds Pro 2, which are now lighter, smaller, and fitted with 11-millimeter drivers.

With ANC turned on, the earbuds can play music for up to eight hours, and with the charging case, that time can be extended to 30 hours. They also have a wing fin design for improved stability during physical activity. On September 26, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 is scheduled to go on sale for $229.

Gemini Live: Speech chat for sophisticated AI communication

Google has started bringing out Gemini Live, a voice chat feature for Gemini Advanced users, in addition to hardware updates. With ten distinct voices to choose from, this new feature lets users converse with Google’s AI assistant in a way that’s akin to ChatGPT’s voice assistant.
